Las Vegas to McCall, ID

We have spent the past five days enroute to McCall, ID. We did an overnight in Ely with dinner out at the Twin Wok restaurant and an overnight in Jackpot, NV where we played golf. Tippy did dinner for the four of us, Jackie and Jerry are with us, and did an excellent job. We grilled steaks and they were excellent and we all got full again. The golf course ws in great condition and Jackie, Jerry, and I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon on the course, highlighted by my winning $2 from Jerry. We wern't held up by anyone and there was no one behind us so we had a great time. There have been some amazing changes in the course since I last played there about three years ago. There wasn't room for Jackie and Jerry to stay a second night in Jackpot so we decided to both head for Boise on Saturday.

We have stayed at the High Valley RV Park in Boise, ID for three nights and are now ready to drive the last 106 miles into McCall today, Tuesday, August 1st. Hoot and Genda arrived yesterday afternoon while Jerry and I were playing golf. They drove straight through from Ely and they will spend next week in McCall with the group before heading to Elko so Genda can play in the state golf championship. We sat out and enjoyed a cocktail or two last evening and everyone had dinner on their own. Jerry and I played the Banbury Golf Club yesterday and it was quite a treat! The course was in super condition and the greens were pretty quick. The course hosted the USGA girls junior championship last year. Jerry got his $2 back here but now he is back to 5 strokes and I like my chances in our next competition.

We have been to Walmart, Costco, Walmart, liquor store, Walmart, Sportsman Warehouse, and Tippy is now back to Walmart for one more visit before we depart this morning. My next report will come from McCall, ID and I will give you a golf and fishing update. Until then be safe.
