Stu & Tippy's Travels

This Blog will be used to document the travels of Stuart and Tippy Reid as we travel this beautiful country in our motorhome. We will hopefully be able to share our experiences in words and pictures and allow our friends and family to enjoy them with us.

Thunder Bay

We have enjoyed the past two days here in Thunder Bay. Yesterday afternoon Tippy, Alex, and I drove around town a bit and then stopped at a local Safeway market to load up on a few essentials. Tippy fixed a great dinner and we retired early as I had to be up to meet Bernie at 6:00 AM.

Today, Thursday, Bernie and I drove about 60 miles east on highway 11 to the Nipigon River. This is a big river and is very clean and clear. You could easily see the bottom in 10+ feet of water. We had a poor weather day and a poor catching day but still enjoyed the fishing and the company. I will meet Bernie at 7:00 PM tomorrow to fish the mouth of a river where it dumps into Lake Superior. Bernie saw some folks catch some 7-8 lb Walleye there several days ago so we are going to give it a try for an hour or two.

Tippy and I plan to go out for lunch tomorrow and then make a trip to Fort William on the west side of Thunder Bay. This is a working replica of the original fort and is said to be well worth the visit. I will tell you our thoughts tomorrow and include some pictures as well. Until then be safe.
