Wawa to Sault Ste. Marie, ON
We decided to leave Wawa after only two days due to a water problem. The water pressure was almost negligible and it was somewhat off color. We asked the folks for our money back and they didn't argue so they knew they were having a problem.
We headed for Sault Ste. Marie on Tuesday and had another great driving day with superb weather. We saw many wonderful views and stopped for lunch at a turnout about 60 miles from Sault Ste. Marie. The KOA here in Sault Ste. Marie is great! We don't get satellite due to the trees but they have cable and we can see plenty of TV. They even have an RV wash with high pressure so that was the first thing we did since the coach was filthy from going through construction when we left Thunder Bay.
After washing the coach and getting set up on our site we headed for town to find the lay of the land. It is pretty easy to get around as highway 17 is the main drag and it runs right down to the river. The town has over 75K people so they have lots of shopping, eating establishments, and sights to see. We took a boat tour of the locks as you can see below and had an enjoyable afternoon yesterday with this trip. We will dine tonight at a window table at a restaurant right on the river. Hopefully we will see some ships go by and enjoy the other water view sights.
I am going to clean windows today, if the rain stops, and Tippy will do some shopping and look into a pedicure. Tomorrow I have arranged to do a Golf Digest visit at Crimson Ridge G.C. They are supposed to be one of the top ten Ontario courses so we will see.
Sunday we will have a 250 mile drive to Sturgeon Falls which is about 60 miles east of Sudbury still on highway 17. I hope to do some fishing there and enjoy life for four days before heading to Barrie. We will spend a week in Barrie and will get the coach serviced while there.
Enjoy the pics and be safe.
