Stu & Tippy's Travels

This Blog will be used to document the travels of Stuart and Tippy Reid as we travel this beautiful country in our motorhome. We will hopefully be able to share our experiences in words and pictures and allow our friends and family to enjoy them with us.

Final report before we leave next month.

As you can see below we had visitors last week and it was wonderful to see everyone. We had lots of activity including fishing, target shooting with BB pistols, swinging, resting on the hammock, video games, Wii games, and eating. All of this in a 24 hour period.

On Wednesday I was working in the shop and saw the mother deer walk by heading to the place where the fawn was staying. It struck me that maybe she was coming to take the fawn home because she usually came in the evening to feed the baby and stay with it during the night. Tippy and I watched her walk by and then went back about our business. It wasn't 30 minutes later that I saw her again from the shop and this time she had the fawn with her! I went to get my camera and Tippy and we were able to enjoy the mother taking acre of her baby and watching them run off to their real home. As you can see from the pictures she was taking good care of her baby as they made there way along the lakeshore. This was a real "feel good" moment for both of us.

We will be off for our summer trip two weeks from today, or maybe even sooner as I have to do a Golf Digest visit in Gunter, TX and also one in Wichita Falls, TX before the end of August. We had planned to stay two nights in Wichita Falls as out first stop so that course wasn't a problem. The course in Gunter, The Bridges Golf Club, is north of Dallas and kind of on the way to Wichita Falls. If we can work out the details we may leave a day early, Friday. play The Bridges on Saturday morning and then drive to Wichita Falls and play The Champions Course at Weeks park on Sunday before we head to Clovis, NM for our next stop.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures. Stay tuned as we will try to report more frequently as we head north and west. Be safe.
