Mallard Creek, Oregon - Site of Stuart Reid's first ever hole in One, except for the one at the Ranch during pasture golf
Wednesday, July 15th marked the end of my waiting for that first hole-in-one. On the 3rd hole at the Mallard Creek G.C. which played about 118 yards, uphill, and into a slight breeze I hit a nice 8 iron that took two bounces on the front of the green and rolled into the hole! I couldn't see it go in but I did hear it hit the flagstick. Dennis and/or Bryan yelled "Go In" as the ball bounced on the green and when I heard it hit the flagstick I yelled "It Did!" Well we hustled up to the green, couldn't see the ball until I walked over to the hole and gently picked my Titelist #1 out of the hole. I was pretty excited and didn't play very well for a few holes and I didn't even think to save the ball before I hit it into the water on the 4th hole. Oh well, I have the memory and that is all I need!
We have had a great time here in Oregon. The weather has been great, the golf course is fun to play, and the surrounding area has many attractions. We will be here for the rest of the month and then be heading back into Washington for a couple of weeks before returning to Montana for a month or so. Be safe.

8 iron 118 yds? I'm surprised you're admitting it.
