Getting Settled

Sorry for the lack of recent news and pictures. We got into the house on Monday, September 26, and have been working on numerous things. We drove the motorhome to Dallas on October 4, 5, and 6 to have some work done and to see David, Cole, and Rachel. We stayed at Treetops in Arlington on Tuesdeay, dropped the coach at the dealer on Wednesday morning, stayed at David's on Wednesday, picked the coach up on Thursday and headed for home. We had our computer room furniture delivered on Thursday afternoon and they were here on Friday to install our Direcway satellite internet system and to bring the last two receivers for DirecTV .

David, Rachel, and Cole have spent the weekend with us and we have had a terrific weekend. Cole has lots of room to run around and he really enjoys going "OUT." David assisted me in putting our computer room component furniture together and it is now finished except for final positioning. The phone company will return on Wednesday to install a jack for the second phone line and then the final placement may proceed. I will get some pictures posted next week as it should be a little quieter even though we still have much to do.

Our construction list includes repair of the shingles on the roof, remnant of the hurricane, a pad for the motorhome, widening and lengthening of the boat slip, and a backyard deck. We will proceed with these projects as money allows. We are also planning on picture placement and other decorations to enhance the beauty of our home. You folks with decorating skills are welcome to come for a visit and provide us with your valued input. More later this week. Be safe.
