Stu & Tippy's Travels

This Blog will be used to document the travels of Stuart and Tippy Reid as we travel this beautiful country in our motorhome. We will hopefully be able to share our experiences in words and pictures and allow our friends and family to enjoy them with us.

On the Road Again

We have had a wonderful weekend here in the Dallas area spending time with David and his terrific family! We were able to spend time with Cole and Maryn and share a couple of meals with David and Rachel and we enjoyed every minute of it. We will leave tomorrow heading for Santa Fe to meet Mike and Patty and then on to Farmington, NM to meet Jerry and Jackie. I guess I am getting ahead of myself so will back up to this weekend.

We arrived in Arlington on Friday afternoon and after getting settled in our RV park we did some shopping at Costco and then whent to David's home to see Rachel, and the grand kids. Tippy brought a meal that we shared with David and Rachel after the kids were down. Maryn is still sleeping for only about 2 - 3 hours through the night so Rachel is just not getting enough sleep. Hopefully Maryn will start to sleep longer and allow her mom to catch up a bit. Both kids are doing great and are bright and alert. Maryn was sitting up by herself on the couch, with maybe a little support from her dad, and she loves to stand while being held. She is very strong and has started to eat solid food.

Cole is in his two's and is very active! He is counting and knows many letter sounds. He trys to say everything he hears and really puts some long sentences together. David and I took Cole to his swim class on Saturday while rachel went to a shower for a friend and Tippy took care of Maryn. Maryn was great for Tippy and they really had time to bond. Maryn didn't cry at all and ate very well for Tippy and for her dad when we returned home. On Sunday we went to their home in the afternoon after Tippy and I went out for lunch at a Chinese restaurant. David and I took Cole to a place called the Clubhouse. There were many different areas for kids to play with manipulatives, clothing, giant legos, etc. They also had a climbing wall for kids over three years old. Cole had a great time and we returned home for some more playtime, dinner, and bed. Cole was quite sad because we were going on a trip so we will have to be sure to stay in touch with him. Tippy made Cincinnatti Chile and we enjoyed the food, a glass of wine, and conversation before heading back to the RV park.

Tomorrow we will drive to Goodlett, TX, a short 215 mile trip as we begin to make our way west. I will post a couple of pictures of the kids for you to enjoy and will have more stuff as our trip continues. be safe.
