Bandon, Oregon
Howdy again. We drove the 50 miles from Kimball Creek RV Resort to the Bandon BY the Sea RV Resort in Bandon, OR on Thursday. Our friends Jackie and Jerry Wooldridge were already there and it was great to see them again! We chatted for a while and then grilled steaks for dinner. Jackie made asparagus and bread and Tippy did stuffed potatoes. Needless to say we were all full again. Yesterday, Friday, Jackie, Jerry, and I played the Bandon Trails golf course at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. This is a walking only course and we used caddies which is always a good experience. The course was wonderful and we all enjoyed ourselves although Jerry separated me from $8 which I will attempt to get back today. We were all pretty tired after our long walk but it was a good tired. We had a nice lunch at the Trails clubhouse and then came home to take a nap.
Today we will play Bandon Crossing which is a relatively new course and it is only about two miles from our RV resort. We ate out last evening at a restaurant called the Wheelhouse in Old Town Bandon. We all had some kind of sea food and it was just excellent! The gals both had Halibut fish and chips, Jerry had Clams Linguine, and I had some blackened Halibut. I believe we are grilling hamburgers tonight and then going out again tomorrow before we head inland to Canyonville, OR on Monday. We will stay at the Seven Feathers RV Resort and will hopefully meet our friends Walt and Jeri Karpinski there. We will play golf at a course Mike recommended, Myrtle Creek, on Tuesday and/or Wednesday before the last lap to lebanon to meet lots of old friends. Mored info tomorrow along with some pictures. Be safe.
