Where does the time go?
We are still in the "getting settled" mode but I feel that we are making progress. We now have the computer room set up and all of the furniture put together and in place. I have also been doing some painting in the garage, back room area and shelves, and should finish that area today. This will allow me to get my golf and fishing stuff put away and then I can start on the front of the garage.
We have drawn up diagrams for the RV pad and the back deck. I will begin to get estimates and bids this week so we can get the work started. The RV pad will be ajacent to the driveway and will require some fill so it can be leveled. The area will be 16' X 55' so it will accommodate our coach, or any others, quite easily. The deck will be on two levels with the upper deck 16' X 44', and the lower deck 22' X 30' with a built in fire pit. There will be stairs connecting the two levels and connecting the lower level with the ground. I am very excited about the deck and hope that the price won't be too steep for our budget.
We still haven't hung any pictures or painted any walls inside. We are now close in the computer room and may start some there today. The living room is starting to take shape as the TV is now complete and the Bose surround system installed. We haven't done anything with the den/library yet except put some books on the shelves and put a chair, a love seat, and a TV in the room. We are still eating on a folding table but we are hopeful the dining room table will arrive in a week or so.
The rural nature of this area is really taking us over. I truly enjoy the truck rides to the store or to get the mail. Alex just loves running around in the yard and being outside when we are. She is minding very well and stays close and comes when she is called. I will do my first cutting of the yard with the John Deere tomorrow. That should be quite an experience. I will get Tippy to take a picture to post for you to see. I will add a couple recent pictures for you to view. Enjoy and be safe.
