Stu & Tippy's Travels

This Blog will be used to document the travels of Stuart and Tippy Reid as we travel this beautiful country in our motorhome. We will hopefully be able to share our experiences in words and pictures and allow our friends and family to enjoy them with us.

Alex after First Grooming

Relaxing at Home

We have been home since our last post just relaxing and getting a few things done for our big trip that starts in March. We put new batteries in the coach and added two more batteries for the inverter, total of four now. We had the coach serviced and checked out and it is just about ready to roll. I built a shelf unit for the front storage bay to make better use of the space. It has three levels with the top level - 12" wide - for my golf clubs, the middle level - 18" wide - for our outside mat, and the bottom level for misc stuff. Now I can get at stuff without having to take everything out that is on top. I made it out of 1x12 and 1x6 pine and covered it with a lightweight carpet. It looks great and and really helped with space utilization. We are still looking for a couple more storage boxes to fit in the underneath storage.

Alex continues to grow and amuse us tremendously. She had her first "grooming" session this week and she looks extra cute now - picture posted. Her puppy shots have been completed and we will start the task of housebreaking her to the outside next week. She loves to play and sleep and hang out with her Mamma Tippy. She continues to be friendly to all people she meets. Sometimes I think her bottom is going to wiggle off she gets so happy. I made her a step from the scraps from the coach shelf and she loves to use it to get up on the couch in my office when Tippy and I sit there talking.

We have decided to join two other couples, Wooldridge's & Jamison's, in Temecula February 12 - 17. We were originally scheduled to go to Grover Beach but felt it was to far to go, 1000 miles, for just three nights. We will go to our favorite restaurant in Temecula, Anthony's, for Valentine's dinner and possibly to the Vera Cruz Fish House another night. The RV park at Pechanga is very nice and you aren't too far from anything. Golf may also be on the agenda but it isn't to important since I hate golf anyhow. :-)

Our jump off date in March is the 14th, a Monday, and we plan to be in Tyler, Texas on Thursday to look at some property on Friday and possibly Saturday before heading to Arlington where we will stay until the end of March. David's birthday is on the 15th, mine is on the 21st, and Cole's first birthday will be on the 22nd. That will be the big occasion and the time that we will celebrate all of the birthdays. Cole has started to talk now. His vocabulary includes Mamma, Dadda, dog, and since they visited the park, duck. We hope that Grandpa is coming soon. Enjoy Alex's picture. More from Temecula in 8 or nine days. Be safe.
