Holy Cow, it's 2012!

Well now where does the time go? It seems like it was just 2011 and now it is the 15th of January, 2012. We have been pretty much home since October with just a couple of short trips. We went to Spring, TX in November for one of our club rallies and up to Grapevine to do some shopping and see the kids for a bit in early January. The lake is still over 7 feet down so using the boat is not an option until we get at least another 3 1/2 feet of water in the lake. We have another club rally next week in San Marcos, TX and possibly one in May in Gladewater, TX, near Tyler. I have planned Golf Digest visits to top 100 clubs at the beginning of our summer trip so we will actually start in May heading east into Louisiana to play The Alotian Club near Little Rock, then to Tulsa, Oklahoma to play Southern Hills, and next will be Prairie Dunes in Kansas and finally Sand Hills in remote Nebraska. I will also be doing more visits in Washington and Oregon but mostly at candidates for Best in State courses. We are planning on spending quite a bit of time in Washington this summer, almost 6 weeks, exploring areas we have visited in the past. We will also spend about a month in Montana and some time in eastern Oregon as we begin to head for Las Vegas to visit my mom and other friends, like some of you that are reading this Blog. Our plan is to be back home by the second week of October. I have been using the blog to share some pictures with my son since we have had some difficulty attaching pics to e-mails. So if you see some strange pictures with no explanation that is the reason. Travel safe and have a wonderful 2012! Enjoy your life because you never know when it will be over.
