Stu & Tippy's Travels

This Blog will be used to document the travels of Stuart and Tippy Reid as we travel this beautiful country in our motorhome. We will hopefully be able to share our experiences in words and pictures and allow our friends and family to enjoy them with us.

The last month - Wow

Wow, we have been home since October 19Th, kinda. We turned around and headed to Oklahoma City for an Alfa rally on the 28Th of October with a short stop in Arlington to have the coach washed and waxed and to see the kids. Wow, they grow so fast it is amazing! We were able to share some time with David, Rachel, and the kids at the Pumpkin Patch. We had a great time and had a picnic lunch as well.

We headed for Oklahoma City on the 31st for the rally. We had a good time there with good food, fellowship, golf, and even a little work for the national rally here in Texas next spring. From Oklahoma City we headed to St. Louis to see John, Christine, and Florence. I was also able to play a game of golf with my friend Bart which was very enjoyable, especially since I won all of the money - $4 I believe. John and Christine brought Florence to see us at the RV park on Saturday and we grilled hamburgers and caught up a bit. Sunday afternoon we drove over to there wonderful old home and spent the afternoon and evening. We ordered a pizza, actually two, and boy were they good!

On Monday we headed back toward home with a couple of stops and a layover in Tyler for some shopping we arrived home on November 15Th. On the 26Th I took the coach in for a few minor fixes and hopefully it will be completed before we have to leave in December. It is under extended warranty and the company chose to send out an inspector to check the work that was required. He will arrive within 24 - 48 "working hours" for the inspection which could be a week! No work can be done before he does his inspection so we are just waiting.

I have started to develop a wood shop in our back workroom. I have purchased a lathe, a dust collector, a grinder to sharpen the lathe tools, and will probably add a saw or two and possibly a planer before I am finished. I want to spend some time re-learning how to turn bowls and stuff on the lathe. I did some of this in college and really enjoyed it. Well enjoy the pics, I will add some of the shop next time. Be safe and have a wonderful holiday season!
