Stu & Tippy's Travels

This Blog will be used to document the travels of Stuart and Tippy Reid as we travel this beautiful country in our motorhome. We will hopefully be able to share our experiences in words and pictures and allow our friends and family to enjoy them with us.

View of Flathead Lake from coach in Polson

Missoula to Polson

We took the coach in for some work on Friday and discovered they had the new 2006 Alfa coaches at Bretz RV here in Missoula. Since we had some time while they worked on our coach we decided to look at the 2006 model. Well to make a long story short we ended up trading our coach for a new 2006 coach. We will pick it up tomorrow, Wednesday, and drive it back to Polson.

Mike and Patty joined us at Jim and Mary's RV park on Saturday. Mike had a windshield chip so I arranged for a glass company to come by on Saturday but they no showed so Mike had to call someone early Monday morning and they came by at 10:00 and got his windshield fixed. On Saturday evening we all went to dinner at Johnny Carrino's. This is a chain that none of us have been to but we had heard some not so good reports about them. We decided to try it ourselves and found it to be quite excellent. We all enjoyed our meals and we all left full. The only mistake I made was not getting a doggie bag for Tippy's leftovers while she was in the ladies room. Boy, I won't do that again. Sunday evening Patty made tacos and we all got full again. There was enough stuff left over for us to have taco salad when we arrived in Polson on Monday.

We spent Monday afternoon and most of the day today getting ready to move stuff from the old coach to the new one. We have taken as much out of the coach as possible to make the transfer at Bretz go a little quicker. We brought all of the storage boxes from the new coach and transfered our stuff into them. Tippy and Patty have gotten most of the food items boxed up in storage containers that will make them easy to transfer as well. It will be a long day tomorrow but the preparation we have done should help a lot. I didn't get a picture of the new coach but we take one to post next time. The coach has many new features and upgrades that convinced us to trade up. I will post some interior pictures next time as well so you can get an idea. I need to go to the hardware store now so I will end this message. Be safe.
