Stu & Tippy's Travels

This Blog will be used to document the travels of Stuart and Tippy Reid as we travel this beautiful country in our motorhome. We will hopefully be able to share our experiences in words and pictures and allow our friends and family to enjoy them with us.

Heading for Yuma, Arizona and points west

Hi all and a merry Christmas and happy holiday season to all. We finally got out of Texas yesterday afternoon and we will spend two nights here in Las Cruces, NM. We traveled over 750 miles to get to the Texas - New Mexico border so that gives you some sense of the size of Texas.

We are having an issue with our entertainment system electric circuit, the one we had fixed in Dallas in November, so I will work on that a bit today. The breaker tripped when we were in Pecos, Tx and wouldn't reset. When we arrived in Las Cruces I tried it and it worked, at least for a while. After a couple of hours it tripped again and wouldn't reset so I will try to get a new breaker today and see if that solves our problem.

Having no TV has allowed me to do a little reading and I have now finished my second David Baldacci book, "Hour Game." I enjoy his writing style so will try to find another of his works. Tippy has plenty of other books around so I won't have a problem finding something to enjoy.

My friend BG, Barry Gambarana, is currently on a ten day fishing trip on the American Agler sportfishing boat and recently landed a 324 pound Yellowfin Tuna. I believe this is a personal best for BG and I know he is happy! Other friends of his have also caught big fish on this trip, over 200 pounds, so the boat has put the guys on big fish and this gives them a chance to catch a real monster size fish. Catching fish that size can really wear you out unless you are in good shape.

We will head for Tucson tomorrow, with a stop at Camping World to pick up a few things, and then off to Yuma on Thursday. I will post some pictures from Mike and Patty's new place for you to enjoy in a day or so. Until then be safe and enjoy the season.
