Wow, where does the time go?

We are now in Bowmansville, Pennsylvania at the Lake In Wood RV Resort. This is a really nice spot with many seasonal sites like we have seen at other campgrounds throughout New England. Since our last update we have traveled to Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, and finally into Pennsylvania. We pulled into the Holiday Acres RV park in Harmony, RI a week ago and as I was paying the balance due I noticed a piece of paper on the counter that said they had "E-Coli" in their water and you should boil it before drinking, but it was okay for washing. Well that was enough for me! I asked about other parks in the area and was told there weren't any so I got my money back, except for $25, and we decided to stay for the night. We didn't hook up to the water since we have an ice maker and sure didn't want to get the contaminated water into our system.

The next day we continued on to East Lyme, CT where we stayed at the Aces High RV park. This was a great park with lots of room, satellite TV reception, fire rings, and cheap fire wood. The area was beautiful, as you can hopefully see from the pictures above, and very quiet. We stayed for three days and were somewhat reluctant to leave on Tuesday. They even had a Catholic church right next door.

We drove from Connecticut, across New York, and into new Jersey on Tuesday. We traveled quite a ways on I-84 and the scenery was beautiful with the leaves starting to change and lots of color on the hillsides. We stayed at the Beaver Hill campground in Sussex, NJ. This park was really out in the country but very nice once we got into our site. There was another Alfa coach right behind us and the guy helped me back into the site. We didn't get any satellite TV due to the trees, no local TV from our antennae, and they didn't offer cable Tv for overnighters. The guy in the Alfa said he had been there for a month and he had cable. he also had a splitter attached where the cable entered his coach so he invited us to attach our cable to his splitter and we now had cable TV! How cool!

Yesterday, Wednesday, we drove from New Jersey to Pennsylvania via red roads, or worse. We had a great drive that took almost four hours to go 125 miles, with a fuel stop. We drove around this area for a while yesterday afternoon and found many Amish folks about as well as many large farms. We found two "Giant" Smorgasbord restaurants about ten miles away. It was unusual as both also had a grocery store as well as the restaurants. We may go to one this evening just for the experience. Tippy wants to get pizza for lunch so we will have to see how hungry we are at dinner time.

Tomorrow we will be off to Delaware where we will stay at Rehoboth Beach and then on to Newark, Maryland, and then we will cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/tunnel system into Virginia and really get the trip home started. Our RV park in Delaware is right on the ocean so it should be pretty nice. I will be sure to get some pictures for your enjoyment. Until then enjoy the pics above and be safe.
