Stu & Tippy's Travels
This Blog will be used to document the travels of Stuart and Tippy Reid as we travel this beautiful country in our motorhome. We will hopefully be able to share our experiences in words and pictures and allow our friends and family to enjoy them with us.

San Antonio & River Walk
We spent several hours downtown on Monday touring the Alamo, the River Walk, and taking a river boat cruise. We also managed to have a great Mexican lunch at The Original Mexican Restaurant before our river cruise. I think I ate at this restaurant with our friends Ray and Sandra several years ago when we were in San Antonio for a golf rules seminar.
We had great directions from the park that took us right to the Rivercenter parking garage which is right across the street from the Marriott, where we stayed when we were here for the APL Championship, and very close to all of the downtown sites. We walked around a bit, considered a bus tour but decided against it and just headed to see the Alamo and some other downtown highlights before going to the River Walk.
We had our lunch, chicken enchiladas for Tippy and a taco salad for Stu, and then walked down to catch the river boat tour. We enjoyed the boat tour, got a couple of nice pictures, and then decided to get back home and take Alex for a walk. Later in the afternoon we took a drive to "Hill Country," an area west of town that, surprisingly, has a few hills. There was a pretty lake, Medina, and numerous homes built on the hillsides surrounding the lake. Most of the marinas and restaurants were closed for the season but it appeared to be a jumping place in the summer.
We went shopping at Costco yesterday, Tuesday, and Tippy and I are going to lunch and a movie today. We had planned on the zoo today but some rain showers have changed our minds. Enjoy the pictures and be safe. We will head for home on Friday morning so I am not sure if we will write again for a while but you never know.
