Wow, the past few days have just flown by!! We drove to Missoula to pick up the new coach early Wednesday morning. We arrived at Bretz Rv shortly after 8:00 and almost immediately began our walkthrough of the new coach. Because of our familiarity with the coach the walkthrough only took about an hour and then we were ready to begin the transfer process of all of our stuff. The shop also had to change the mudflap from the old to the new and hook our Sani-Con dumping system up to electricity. Well there was some kind of glitch with the bank, we were approved, but they the final documents were delayed. It took until 1:45 to receive the final stuff and then the shop began to work and we began to transfer items from one to the other.
They parked the old coach next to the new one and we began the process of moving. The guy working on the mudflap had some problems because the rear of the new coach was different than the old one. What I thought was a two bolt process turned into a 4 hour ordeal. At about 6:00 it became apparent that all of the work would not be done, by the shop or by us, so we decided to stay overnight and finish in the morning. Tippy made some pasta and we watched a DVD about the new coach.
We got up at about 7:30 on Thursday and as I was about to take Alex out for a walk a guy came to pick up the coach. They finished the mudflap and started the wiring work while we continued to transfer stuff to the new coach. Finally we got everything moved to the new coach, the shop guy got the wiring fixed, and a different technician fixed a problem with the satellite dish. Around 11:00 we were on our way back to Polson. The coach handled very well and the extra horsepower was very apparent on the hills. We spent all of Thursday afternoon getting the stuff we left at Polson into the coach and tried to rearrange things to best use the storage we have.
On Friday Mike and I played golf, very cold with dark clouds and windy, and the gals got pedicures in town. The temperature was around 60 degrees with a wind chill that must have been in the forty's. Mike had his rainsuit on and I had on two short sleeve wind vests with my shorts. I would have quit without any arguement but Mike was playing very well, made four birdies in a row to finish the front nine, so we plodded on and tried to enjoy the day. The course, Polson Country Club, was quite nice and in excellent condition. Friday evening Mike and Patty went into town to see some of the old car show that was being presented over the weekend. It started to rain in the late afternoon and continued into the evening so we decided to stay home and eat in tonight.
Mike and Patty headed to Spokane, Wa early Saturday morning. We won't see them again until Sedona in October. It has been great traveling with them and sharing the sights of this wonderful country. On Saturday we worked on the coach getting things put away and reorganizing and cleaning the outside cabinets. We picked up a couple of storage devices at Walmart and they have helped us to organize both inside and out. We grilled chicken breasts for dinner, after Tippy returned from Mass, and then watched the movie Coach Carter.
Sunday morning we went to the pancake breakfast here at the Polson KOA. It was delicious and really hit the spot. We will do a little cleaning today and prepare to leave for Las Vegas tomorrow. We will arrive in Las Vegas on Thursday afternoon and will stay at the Oasis RV park for at least a week before heading for east Texas. More from the road, be safe.
