On the Road Again
Hi Y'all,
We left home today to begin our Summer-Fall 2007 adventure. We traveled about 210 miles to Texarkana, TX where we are staying in a very nice KOA Park. We traveled the back roads for about half of our trip today. We took highway 19 north from Athens, TX for about 70 miles through Canton, TX and a couple of smaller towns until we reached I-30. We found a small picnic area on Highway 19 before hitting I-30 and had lunch and walked Alex before hitting the interstate.
We had about 100 miles into Texarkana, after hitting the interstate, and arrived at the KOA just before 2:30 PM. I have posted a couple of pictures of the coach and new car. We purchased a new Honda CR-V last week, got it fitted for towing on Monday, ands were ready to leave this morning. The car handles great and is very well equipped including leather seats, navigation system, and heated seats. This will be a much safer car for Tippy and will tow much easier than the jeep. Oh, the car gets 23-30 mpg which is significantly better than the jeep.
We will try hard to keep up the Blog this summer so stop by often. I am sure we will have some wonderful pictures to share as we tour Ontario, CA and the new England states. Enjoy todays pictures and be safe.
