Getting ready to head east to North Dakota
We drove from Great Falls, MT to Billings, MT on Thursday on highway 87. This route saved well over a hundred miles over the interstate and the scenery was much more beautiful. The best part was there was almost no traffic and the road was great! We got to the lewis & Clark Interprettive Center and the C.M. Russell Museum in Great Falls. We enjoyed both facilities very much and we were especially amazed at the volume of work in the Russell Museum.
We also got to a couple of movies while in Great Falls; The Dark Knight and the X Files. The Dark Knight was excellent and the X Files was pretty poor. I did play golf at Anaconda Hills, a local muni, and at Briarwood C.C. in Billings today. We will head for North Dakota tomorrow with a final Montana stop in Glendive. I will play golf in Bismarck, Hawktree G.C. and in Minot with my friend from the APL Committee Wes Plummer.
FYI my mom fell and broke her knee cap last week but is now in rehab and is doing great. She was moved to the Life Care Center, on Tuesday I believe, and she is already walking and is feeling much better.
