Stu & Tippy's Travels

This Blog will be used to document the travels of Stuart and Tippy Reid as we travel this beautiful country in our motorhome. We will hopefully be able to share our experiences in words and pictures and allow our friends and family to enjoy them with us.

April in Arizona - Continued

We really enjoyed our time at Happy Trails and were able to help Mike and Patty get moved onto their their new lot before we left on the 13th. Their new home is truly wonderful with a great location, nice neighbors, and a basic set-up that was very well done. I am sure they will tweek things a bit to fit their style and needs and this will only improve the look and usefulness of the property.

We left Happy Trails on Friday and moved to the Viewpoint Resort in Mesa, AZ for the Alfa National Rally. We spent 5 days in a pre-rally with our chapter from Texas watching the host committee and preparing ourselves to be the hosts next year. I also got in some golf on the exec course and on the big course. We will play again on Sunday afternoon and should be prepared for the Alfa tournament on Monday. Our chapter has conducted a social hour at 5:00 each evening to fuss and discuss and then a dinner of some sort. One night it was bring your own steaks to grill, a potluck, a club sponsored grilled hamburgers, and one night the chapter went to the Outback for dinner but we decided to stay at home that evening.

Wednesday night was the welcome dinner, chicken breast, beans, cole slaw, rolls, and chocolate chip cookies. Very gooooood! On Thursday we had made previous arrangements to see the Ranch folks and have dinner with them at Pancho's in Phoenix. Dinner was terrific, as usual, and we enjoyed seeing everyone again even after only a short time away. Unfortunately this outing caused us to miss a chapter cookout, pork chops, but we were full anyway.

I will attend two seminars today and we will have dinner on our own this evening. Tomorrow will feature a factory seminar and a wine and cheese tasting in the evening. Their will be a brunch on Sunday morning with the rest of the day free for our own activities. We will have the golf tournament and an ice cream social on Monday and Tuesday will feature a pet parade, group photo, and the awards dinner to culminate the rally.

I have posted numerous pictures above for your enjoyment. There are some shots of Mike and Patty's ne place, a couple from the Ranch, and several from the Rally. Enjoy and be safe.
