Stu & Tippy's Travels

This Blog will be used to document the travels of Stuart and Tippy Reid as we travel this beautiful country in our motorhome. We will hopefully be able to share our experiences in words and pictures and allow our friends and family to enjoy them with us.

Las Vegas

We have arrived in Las Vegas as of Sunday afternoon. Tippy and I both had doctor appointments on Monday and dentist appointments today. Tippy also started physical therepy this afternoon and seems to have gotten some relief. She will go again tomorrow, Thursday, and Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week. I attempted to get blood work this morning but after arriving at 8:15, waiting for an hour, and they still hadn't seen patients that arrived at 7:00 I decided to leave. I will try another place, different company, tomorrow morning while Tippy is at PT.

I am waiting to hear about an appointment with a cardiologist while we are here and Tippy is waiting to hear about an MRI appointment. Hopefully we will get scheduled because we must leave on the 27th to get to Idaho on time. We got to see Mom on Sunday afternoon and I went to get a haircut from Penny on Monday evening. It was great to catch up with both of them and to see what Penny and Doug have been doing to upgrade their home. Their most recent adventure involved tiling their patio and they did a terrific job!

The heat here is pretty bad, 115 when we arrived on Sunday, but a little cooler today, only 107. We will get by as we have stuff to do and we have no alternatives. We will go to our friends Jerry and Jackie Wooldridge's 50th anniversay party on Saturday evening and have a family get together at Mom's on Sunday afternoon. We truly look forward to the coolness of Idaho but we don't want to miss out on our friends and family here either.

I will post a couple of pictures from our stay in Ely. Tippy and I took a drive into the mountains and had a picnic on Friday and the views were fantastic. On Thursday evening we went to dinner at our friend Frank's home that lives in Ely. he grilled two turkeys on an open pit and they were delicious. We all brought salads and other stuff and we got full again. On Tuesday Tippy and I went out to celebrate our anniversary. We went to the local Mexican restaurant and had a great meal. We also had good grub at the local Chinese restaurant and at Jack and Dee's on Saturday evening. Everyone brought snacks and Dee prepared several things and we had a great party. Their new home is on top of a mountain and their view is wonderful. The house is also very nice with a huge basement room with a bar, pool table, TV area, and plenty of storage.

More later, enjoy the pictures.

problem in Cyber Space

Hey folks I am truly sorry but something has happened to the program that uploads pictures to the Blog. I am trying to get it fixed so stay tuned. BTW we arrived in Las Vegas today to about 115 degree, we may leave earlier than planned if all medical stuff goes well.
