Stu & Tippy's Travels

This Blog will be used to document the travels of Stuart and Tippy Reid as we travel this beautiful country in our motorhome. We will hopefully be able to share our experiences in words and pictures and allow our friends and family to enjoy them with us.

We have had two quiet days now that we are all alone here in McCall. Our friends Rick and Carla left for Ely on Friday morning and we are now the only couple left from the original group of seven couples. We had a cool rainy day yesterday which was great for reading and staying inside. Today the sun was back out again and we had a great day doing some laundry, watching golf, and reading. We grilled steaks and had fresh tomatoes and corn as well - mmmm gooood!!! The evening was just gorgeous and we enjoyed it very much.

I took a few pictures around the park so you can get a better perspective of what we have enjoyed the past month. The park is really comfortable and quiet and we hope to return here some day. We leave for Clarkston, WA on Tuesday and our next report will be from there. In the meantime enjoy the pictures and be safe.

McCall - August 23rd

I can't believe that eleven days have gone by since our last post. The weather continues to be excellent and we have spent our days playing golf, relaxing, reading, eating, and some sleeping in, at least until Alex says it is time to get up. Tippy and Carla decided that we should eat our big meal for the day at lunch so we had hamburgers, hotdogs, and chile for our lunch yesterday at about 2:00. Rick and I played golf today at the Meadowcreek Golf Resort, about 13 miles north of McCall in the town of New Meadows - I did a Golf Digest visit and they were kind enough to comp both of us. We didn't get home until almost 2:00 so we are going out to dinner tonight at Romano's Ristorante and Lounge.

I don't know if we will play golf tomorrow or not. It will be Rick and Carla's last day here in McCall so it will be kind of up to them. They leave on Friday and will head for Ely where they will spend a couple of weeks before heading back to Henderson. We have decided to leave a few days early, next Tuesday, so we can spend a few extra days at the Granite Lake RV Resort in Clarkston, WA. Jackie and Jerry told us it was real nice so we made a small change in our itinerarry to allow us to spend five days there rather than two.

I will post a couple of critter pictures that I have taken the last few days. The deer were seen at the McCall Golf Course right by the first hole as we were waiting to tee off. The fox was sighted at Meadowcreek today on the 15th hole. I will also include a couple of golf pictures for your enjoyment. Be safe.
